Due to the war in Ukraine, many citizens were forced to move to other regions of the country or lost their jobs altogether. Therefore, the issue of finding a job during martial law remains relevant. At the beginning of the war, the number of resumes and vacancies decreased. However, the number of new resumes has increased over the past week. Ruslana Berezivska, the head of the expert-analytical center of the personnel portal grc.ua, told about it in a comment.
According to her, the number of new resumes on the site grc.ua increased by 69%. The activity of searchers has also increased. The number of responses to vacancies increased by 30% compared to the previous week.
How to find a job in war
During the war, several trends emerged in the labor market. The wide geography of recruitment became more noticeable. The trend of recruiting for remote work, which began during the lockdown, has become more common. Those specialists whose work does not depend on the presence in the office, have the opportunity to get a job in any region of Ukraine or abroad, said Berezivska.

- Pay attention to job search sites. As HR portals interact directly with employers and receive first-hand information about offers, full information can be found on specialized sites;
- Now various telegram channels have been created in which vacancies are published. There are regional selections, channels with offers of work in professional fields, vacancies for Ukrainians abroad;
- You need to take a proactive position: look for yourself, ask questions about work directly to employers. If you can’t find a job in your profession or specialization, think about what field you can be useful in.
