The Atalanta player supported the hugs of Russian Miranchuk and Ukrainian Malinovsky
Midfielder of the Italian football club “Atalanta” Matteo Pessina spoke with words of support to his teammates Russian Alexei Miranchuk and Ukrainian Ruslan Malinovsky in connection with the aggravation of the conflict between their countries.
“We have the faces of Ruslan and Alexei, two participants in the war. “Mali” (Malinovsky) is a reserved boy, open and with a strong character. “Mira” (Miranchuk) is a simple boy, perhaps the best of everyone I know. Shy and with a passion very similar to mine,” Pessina wrote on Instagram.
“The other day, when the madness of the war turned against Russia and Ukraine, they hugged in Zingonia (at the club base – IF),” the Italian football player added, noting that the team would support Miranchuk and Malinovsky with a “big family”.
“This is football that brings together what tries to share human madness,” wrote Pessina.
Russian national team midfielder Oleksiy Miranchuk moved to Atalanta in 2020 from Lokomotiv Moscow, Ukraine national team midfielder Ruslan Malinovsky – in 2019 from Belgian Genk.
